Cutting and Pasting Notes

Cutting and pasting from other applications is a little trickier.  Notice the three paste icons on the tool bar in the editor:

  is the simple paste and will bring with it whatever attributes you picked up when you copied to the clipboard.  This method is the default and can be dangerous to use since it brings in "unfiltered" characters that could cause the page to crash.

  paste text only and will remove any formatting that may be associated with the original text.

  means paste from MS Word.  It appears to bring in formatting that is suitable for the editor but also filters out MS Word tags that may cause problems for the EditMe editor. 

If weird things happen when you paste, try to paste again with one of the other methods.
